End of Season

Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end. And even though I really enjoyed this summer season I am welcoming autumn with open arms. Of all the season this one is my favourite and I could probably list you 100 reasons why. Let’s stick to the most obvious ones, though. First of all, autumn fashion – I love layering, I love the colours and I love wearing thick jumpers and scarves. Summer fashion might be cute but autumn fashion requires more combining, more creativity and every single year I feel like I am reinventing myself in the cold season. Speaking of the cold – I am looking forward to colder days (not a fan of heat, sorry), big cups of hot cocoa, cosy nights in, candles and long walks in the nature. I also very excited for my first autumn in London – so far I have only experienced it for a week and enjoyed it even more than summer there. What can I say, autumn just makes everything better.

For today’s look I decided to go for an end of summer look which you could easily transform into an early autumn look, just add tights (and an umbrella, let’s be real). First I picked my new skirt that I got at Topshop whilst I was room-hunting in London. Honestly, I don’t think I have ever owned such a beautiful and unique skirt and I’m super happy about my purchase. I also think it’s perfect for the transition between summer and autumn, you could even say that the two colours represent the two seasons. For my top I went for a very simple black crop top and then chose to combine my look with a light blue jacket – another item that I got at Topshop and that I absolutely fell in love with when I saw it on the hanger. I can already assure you that this jacket will be worn all throughout autumn and will then make a resurgence in spring – I’m already excited for the season of pastels. Anyway, to top off my outfit I went for some sandals I got at River Island and my beloved hat that you’re probably very tired of already. But what can I say, once a hat-lover, always a hat-lover. And hats are perfect for the bad hair days, am I right? Just like they are perfect for autumn. I just have to say it again, autumn simply makes everything better and I couldn’t be happier about the change of season. What is your favourite look this season? Are you excited for autumn? xx
